Zelenskyy: Preparations for Ramstein underway, expecting substantive decisions
Ukraine is already preparing for a new meeting in the Ramstein format and expects that substantive decisions will be made at the summit that will meet the ambitious prospects of the Defense Forces on the battlefield, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an evening video address.
"We are already preparing for the next meeting in the Ramstein format. I have held preparatory meetings. And we are expecting substantive decisions that will meet the prospects on the battlefield. Quite ambitious prospects, which we are bringing closer with all our might. And we are bringing them closer not only for ourselves — not only for Ukraine, but also for our entire anti-war coalition," Zelenskyy said.
He emphasized that the Russian aggressor must lose, and the joint responsibility with the partners is to win more time for peace, to be as active as possible now in providing weapons and ammunition in order to speed up the victory over the Russian Federation.
Commenting on today's meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, Zelenskyy said that many issues were discussed: actions of the Defense Forces on the front line, "what is being done and what we should achieve."
"Separately the supply of ammunition for our soldiers was discussed at the Staff meeting. Today there was more detail about this — not only supply, but also everything related to production — both by the state and private companies," the president said.
The next meeting of Ukraine's allies in the Ramstein format will take place on April 21.
Today at the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff meeting, the participants analyzed the prospects of increasing Ukraine's own production of missiles and ammunition.
