Two civilians died and six were wounded.  These are the consequences of the Russian shelling in Popasna, the Head of the Luhansk regional state administration, Serhiy Gayday, has reported.

Kyiv Prosecutor's Office is investigating a missile strike near the South Railway Station. Due to the attack of the Russian Federation, the heat supply facility was damaged, one person received shrapnel wounds. The number of victims is to be updated.

All trains going from Eastern Ukraine in the western direction are now used for evacuation. No tickets are required, Ukrzaliznytsia wrote.

In the Russian Federation, the Echo of Moscow radio station and its website are shutting down by the decision of its Board of Directors, the station’s Editor-in-Chief Aleksey Venediktov said. Previously, its radio broadcasts were banned for covering the war in Ukraine.

In Kyiv, the Northern and Darnytskyi bridges were opened for private and public transport, the Kyiv City State Administration reports.
Land transport and metro are open from 08:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

168 hours. For a whole week in row , Ukraine has been rebuffing the Russian invaders. No one. Just realize. No one. Neither in Russia nor in the West believed we would withstand for a week. The only ones who believed were you and I. Before February 24, two-thirds of Ukrainians were sure that in the event of a full-scale Russian invasion, we would resist. Today these are almost 90%. This is the result of the heroism of our defenders. This is the result of the professional actions of our Сommand. This is the dedication of each of you. Our doctors, rescuers, public utilities, railway workers, journalists, financiers are holding their front. The country has not stopped and is fighting. And special mention goes to the heads of military-civilian administrations and mayors who are at the forefront today. Chernihiv, Sumy, Konotop, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Kherson, Mykolayiv are the strongholds of Europe. Our army has already destroyed thousands of invaders. And the amount of the destroyed enemy equipment would be sufficient to equip the armies of several states. The capabilities of our armed forces are growing, more assistance is coming. In many areas, fighters of the territorial defenses showed themselves brilliantly.
Our air aces have become legends. Paratroopers, infantry, artillery - all of them prove that Ukrainians are the best.
Yesterday I called on citizens for total resistance. Enemy communications should be destroyed. These are the metastases that he is trying to smuggle across our land. The Russian invaders were afraid of a shameful defeat and began to commit crimes against humanity. They are shelling hospitals, killing women and children. This is no longer an army - these are ordinary cowards and terrorists.
There are many more challenges ahead. There will be blood, tears, pain.
But at this moment, more than ever, we have every reason to be confident of ourselves. And of those who are near us.

More than 200 residents of houses that came under attack have been evacuated in Borodyanka, Kyiv region, - according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Kyiv.  There were several explosions (3-4) on the night of 2 to 3 March.  There were no reports from the city residents to the State Emergency Service.  According to preliminary information, the aerial objects were shot down by air defence forces.  Information on the number and location of the explosions is being clarified.

Mykolaiv Region.  Two enemy air strikes in Pervomaisky district in the morning in Genivka village, no casualties.  In the morning, the alarm was sounded by the head of the regional state administration, Vitaliy Kim.

 Vehicle traffic across Dnipro Dam is completely blocked - Zaporizhzhya City Council. It is blocked by Ukraine.

It’s the eighth day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion. The occupying forces, having failed in almost all areas where they were advancing, resorted to the tactics of night shelling of residential areas in big cities.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue firmly defending the defined borders, and counterattacking and blocking the occupiers' forces in various directions. In the Volyn direction, the enemy continues holding demonstration activities along the state border.
In the Polissya direction, the enemy is trying to carry out offensive operations in the area of the towns of Kozarovychi, Vyshhorod, Fastiv, and Obukhiv. Further deployment of field logistics camps in the Borodyanka, Katyuzhanka and Gavronshchyna districts was noted.
In the Siverskyi direction, the Russian occupiers were trying to reach the northern outskirts of Kiev avoiding clashes with the Armed Forces of Ukraine, after having failed in the Ukrainian towns of Chernihiv, Nizhyn and Sumy, Lebedyn and Okhtyrka. Enemy’s units and subdivisions were concentrated in the areas of the localities of Baryshevka, Nova Basan, and Lyubech. Part of the forces of the Battalion Tactical Group from the 200th separate motorized infantry brigade of 14th Army Corps of the Northern Fleet of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which has actually lost combat capability, is regrouping and trying to attack in the direction of Brovary and Kyiv.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy is conducting an offensive operation in the areas of Zolochiv, Kharkiv and Balakliya, trying to continue the offensive in the direction of Lozova, and is in catastrophic need of replenishment of the lost equipment and personnel.
In the Donetsk direction, the occupiers of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps are continuing their offensive operations with the support of artillery in the areas of the towns of Novy Aidar, Volnovakha and Mariupol. The enemy did not achieve the main goal of seizing Mariupol and reaching the administrative border of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
In the Tavriya direction, the enemy does not leave the attempts of conducting an offensive operation. After regrouping and introduction of a part of operational reserves, they concentrated the main efforts in the direction of Mykolayiv - Voznesensk.
In the Black Sea Operational Zone, naval groups of the Black Sea Fleet continue shelling civilian ships and capturing sailors.
For the first time, Russian war criminals have acknowledged the mass death losses and wounding of their own soldiers. At the regular evening briefing, an official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published his own information about the losses of the Russian occupation forces in Ukraine of 498 dead and 1,597 wounded.
Part of the enemy forces continue fighting in the areas of Energodar, Vasylivka, Tokmak, Novopetrivka. After regrouping and introducing part of the operational reserves from the 205th separate motorized infantry brigade of the 49th General Army of the Russian Armed Forces, it continues the offensive in order to reach the outskirts of Zaporizhia and Mariupol.

To ensure further landing of tactical airborne troops from the 10th special brigade of the RF Armed Forces in the area of the settlement of Balovne, the invader landed a small landing party, which was destroyed. In the waters of the Black Sea there is a movement of the landing detachment of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation consisting of four large landing ships accompanied by three missile boats in the direction of Odessa. Five people were wounded as a result of the enemy missile attack in the middle of the night, wrote Dmitry Zhyvytskyi, Head of the Sumy Regional State Administration.

The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer has suspended cooperation with Russian customers - it will not supply aircraft parts to the Russian Federation and will stop maintenance of the Russian companies fleet, writes CNN Brasil.

SpaceX founder Elon Musk said that his satellites help support the Internet for Ukrainian citizens. "Ukrainian civilian internet has been experiencing weird outages - bad weather maybe? - so SpaceX is helping fix it", Musk replied to the tweet containing an extract from the interview with the CEO of Roscosmos, where he is outraged that Musk took the side of Ukraine.

On March 2, explosions rumbled near St. Anthony's Church in Kharkiv. All the windows were broken and church utensils were damaged inside. No casualties.

As a result of shelling by the occupiers, the Assumption Cathedral in Kharkiv was damaged, the Kharkiv diocese reported. During the shelling, people were hiding in the temple. No harm to them done. Windows and stained-glass windows were broken in the cathedral, and church utensils were damaged.

UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi wrote on Twitter that about a million refugees left Ukraine during the seven days of the war.

In just seven days we have witnessed the exodus of one million refugees from Ukraine to neighbouring countries.

Reuters reports: Spain will send a batch of weapons and ammunition to Poland on February 4 for Ukraine, said Defense Minister Margarita Robles.

The cargo will be delivered on two planes: 1,370 anti-tank grenade launchers, light machine guns and 700,000 rounds of ammunition.

Since the first days of the war, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have carried out about 50 precision missile strikes with R624 Vilkha MLRS. The destruction of dozens of armoured vehicles, air defence systems, electronic warfare equipment, mobile command posts was confirmed, the Luch Design Bureau reported.

Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague Karim Ahmad Khan confirmed the receipt of information about the atrocities of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine from 39 countries.

Khan announced his decision to launch an active investigation into the situation immediately.

"Our evidence-gathering work has already begun," he said.

The European Union announced that it will disconnect seven Russian banks from the SWIFT system on March 12.

Canada has imposed sanctions against Russia's energy sector. The list includes 10 people and two companies - Rosneft and Gazprom.

Polish President Andrzej Duda spoke about Ukraine in his address to the Polish people.

"For a week now, all of Ukraine has been heroically resisting the invaders, paying the highest price for it. Houses, apartment buildings, schools and hospitals have been attacked. Numerous attacks by Russian troops have signs of genocide. I believe that they will not go unpunished and that those responsible will answer before international tribunals," Duda said.

The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine stated that since the beginning of the Russian invasion, as of midnight on March 1, it recorded 752 dead and injured among the Ukrainian civilian population.

He stressed the need for all to keep working for international peace and security, protecting all nations, large and small.

The aircraft of the Russian invaders hit the civilian population of the city of Izium, Kharkiv region. Deputy Mayor Vadym Matsokin said the bombs fell on an apartment building and a private house. The Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security reports at least three dead.
