The special broadcast by Current Time on the Russian and Belarusian invasion in Ukraine in Russian:
Vyacheslav Chaus, head of Chernihiv Regional State Administration: Chernihiv region is fighting the enemy. Battle sites include Chernihiv, Nizhyn and communities throughout the region. Fighters in Chernihiv Region are receiving weapons, including modern anti-tank systems.
As of today my team and I did the following:
- We coordinated the arrival of food trucks in Chernihiv, perhaps the first food trucks will arrive as early as tomorrow, local bread mills continue to work;
- humanitarian cargo is on its way to Chernihiv from Chernivtsi, we will organise the arrival;
- Coordinated assistance to Territorial Defence and Armed Forces of Ukraine with fuel supply, food and essentials, reinforced roadblocks;
- coordinated 2 collection points for civilian and military aid;
- Cooperated with the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the President's Office on the need for medicines, food, essential goods; we are forming a route - from where, with what and to where essential;
- There is a list of businesses in the region that will work around the clock to provide essential goods and food;
- As for medicines: we have gathered the critically needed minimum from hospitals and are expecting the cargo within 1-2 days.
More and more people are becoming involved in helping the Armed Forces, Territory Defence and those who cannot take care of themselves. One last thing. Today is March 1, Remembrance Day for the victims of the Koryukiv tragedy. During the Second World War, 79 years ago, the Nazis burnt down the 7,000-inhabitants town with all its inhabitants. Today the Russian Godless people are repeating this terrible crime on the scale of the entire Chernihiv region.
Captive Russian soldier to his mother: “They send us to die here. They don’t even recover the bodies of killed in action! They are finishing off the wounded with their own hands! It’s been a week already, and nobody even got a death notice…”
Full post of Security Service of Ukraine:
A captive Russian invader talks about the atrocities committed in their army: the officers finishing off their soldiers, bodies of killed in action left on the battlefields, and no death notices sent to families.
“They sent us here to die. They don’t even recover the bodies of killed in action! It’s been a week already, and nobody even got a death notice…”
This “fighter” was luckier than others. He was captured by Ukrainian forces. The invader is crying and pleading his mother to approach the “Russian Mothers’ Union” in hope of being exchanged. The soldier fears for his future and the future of his family and therefore asks not tell the entire truth about the war in Ukraine to avoid repressions by the Federal Security Service.
On Russian prosecutor's office request, Echo of Moscow radio station, which belongs to Gazprom, was cut off from the broadcast, its website being blocked as well.

AFU General Staff: Operational information on the Russian invasion as of 6 p.m. 01 March 2022
The Russo-Ukrainian war is in its sixth day. The Ukrainian nation is putting up a strong resistance. The enemy has not been able to achieve its goals quickly. The Russian occupiers have demonstrated the world their cunning: by launching missle strikes, shelling with multiple launch rocket systems, and conducting air strikes they prove being not able to fight against the Ukrainian nation which is determined for total resistance. The occupiers' "courage" is shown only in the intimidation of civilians and looting.
At the same time, the Ukrainian defenders in Seversk region continue conducting defensive battles in the occupied positions, with the task of preventing the enemy from advancing in the directions of Kipty and Nizhyn.
Part of the forces continues defending Chernihiv, inflicting fire damage on the enemy, using all available means, and preventing it from penetrating into the city.
In Slobozhanshchina, the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue fighting defensively in the occupied lines, inflicting losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, also taking prisoners.
On the Primorsk direction, our defenders continue conducting a defensive operation in a defined area of responsibility.
The Kyiv city defence unit continues fighting and maintaining certain defence areas while part of its forces is preparing to carry out unexpected tasks.
Assault and artillery units have taken up defence in the vicinity of the capital. They are improving the fortification of positions.
Territorial defence units are reinforcing AFU personnel and carrying out tasks of guarding and defending important infrastructure in the capital.
Glory to Ukraine!
IT specialists from around the world have declared war on Russia. Liga.Tech has compiled possible options how to help Ukraine in cyberspace.
The first unit of foreign volunteers has been created! Belarusians have organised a company under the Azov military. "Live Belarus!" (Zhyve Belarus!)
We were told that Zelenskyy has already signed the capitulation. It was just needed to get to Kyiv and to take the defence position. Which eventually led to: “I am sorry, that what our President’s policy is like. I do not support it”.
“We were told that Zelenskyy has already signed the capitulation. It was just needed to get to Kyiv and to take the defence position, then - to come back”. These are the words of one more Russian occupier who ended up in the Ukrainian militaries’ captivity. Before he surrendered in Poltava region, he was moving within a 100 tanks-column! As the occupier explains, that all was done to “show the Russian military power”… Well, the power is destroyed, the column – shattered, he himself – captured. This story is a good example for everyone bringing the war to our land! Now the mechanic-driver “does not support the policy of the Russian President” but it’s too late. Stay strong!
A call from one more captured Russian soldier to his mother. Judging from his blubbering, he is a conscript. “All captives should be given the possibility to call home without any limitation. Top up our heroic warriors’ phones, so they are able to provide the calls to the captives` families in Russia! This is important!” “Mum, I am captured, I am being fed, I am fine… Call the Ukrainian hotline for families of the captives, so I appear on the list…”
Russian equipment, furthermore, with documents. Near Chernihiv, in the area of "Epicentre". “Another batch of demilitarisation of the horde. Chernihiv.”
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the invaders in the Exclusion Zone receive considerable external and internal radiation exposure which will no doubt have a stochastic development in a form of cancerous illnesses. Particularly, given that they clearly lack personal safety skills when working in the radioactively contaminated territory.
President Zelenskyy held a conversation with President Biden: “We have discussed the American Leadership concerning sanctions against Russia and Ukrainian defence assistance”.

Kharkiv is again under massive bombardment from the occupying forces.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy: "Why repeat 'Never Again' for 80 years if when a bomb falls on Babyy Yar, if the world remains silent?"
To the world: what is the point of saying «never again» for 80 years, if the world stays silent when a bomb drops on the same site of Babyn Yar? At least 5 killed. History repeating…

Radio Svoboda journalists have found the mother of one of the captured Russian soldiers. “Don't worry, mother. Your son is already in captivity, he's fine now”.
Mother: “We are here in Belgorod, and they are in Kharkiv, shooting and killing each other. How can it be? Everyone has relatives in Ukraine. Why there should be a war? I just want this war to stop”.
Journalist: “We have just been to the market, talking to people, some of them were supporting you, and other – Putin’s aggressive behavior”.
Mother: “Putin just wants to help people like us. I just want this war to stop”

Security Service of Ukraine reminds of the preparation of the Russian fake about the Ukrainian Government and surrendering the country. "This disinformation may be spread through all the possible channels. However, you have to know - that is a FAKE! It is aimed at disorientation and spreading the panic, making the citizens disbelieved and pushing our army to surrender. I assure you, even in case the connection is lost, and there is no way to check if the data is true, capitulation of Ukraine and having its interests down are impossible!"
Chief Directorate of Intelligence: Russian Federation is preparing a provocation to justify the introduction of Belarusian troops. According to present intelligence, there are about 300 Belarusian tanks near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border now. The military column has not yet crossed the border and is awaiting on the route Pinsk - Ivanovo - Drahichyn (approximately 30 km from the state border of Ukraine). Russia is expected to carry out a deliberate provocation to justify the planned attack of Belarusian troops.
During the attack on the Kyiv TV tower, Russians sent a missile on Holocaust Memorial Center Babyn Yar, as reports Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine: "These tormentors are killing the Holocaust victims for the second time!"
