"Mom, I am an aggressor." A captured Russian soldier makes a phone call to his mother.

[- Hello, son, how are you?
- Hi mom, it’s me, did you recognize me?
- Yes, where are you?
- I’m on the territory of Ukraine, kinda. I’ve been taken captive. I’m alright.
- What?
- I’m saying I’m on the territory of Ukraine. I’ve been taken captive.
- Wait, how did it happen?
- Yeah, somehow it happened.
- Please, explain what happened to you, how it happened…
- Listen to me, please. Pay attention. They treat me nicely here, don’t worry about me.
- What?
- They treat me nicely here, don’t worry. You need to find a way to contact my military unit, write down the number somewhere.
- OK, so I have written it down, what should I tell them?
- Tell them that so-and-so was captured on the territory of Ukraine. When they sent us here, they said we would be peacekeepers on the territory of DPR and LPR, but in fact, a war began. And we are essentially aggressors now. They brutally shell cities here, so keep this in mind and spread the word if you can.
- What is going on, why don’t they release you, I don’t get it?
- Because I have been captured. You know, I came here as an aggressor, they won’t let me leave.
- On the territory of Ukraine, where exactly? In which city are you?
- OK, mom, don’t panic, just do what I asked you to do, alright?

- I am Anton Andreyevich Petruk.
- And your day, month, and year of birth?
- 5.07.2000
- What is your duty station? What is your position?
- Military unit 91706, 150th division, 102nd regiment, my position is Sniper First Class, my rank is Private.
- How did you end up in Ukraine?
- We participated in the drills at the Kuzminsky polygon for about two weeks, then they gathered us and sent us closer to the border. They said we would be stationed near the border. Then all of a sudden we crossed it at night, moved deeper into the territory, and stopped in some village. We had no choice. It was either we go to war or get accused of treason. They could put us in jail for 15 to 25 years for refusing to follow orders. And then that could be extended to basically lifetime imprisonment.
- How the Banderites are treating you?
- They treat me OK, they treat me well, even better than on our side, actually.
- Is your mother waiting for you at home? What would you like to say to your mother?
- Mom, wait for me, I will come back]

The commentary of OP's advisor Mykhaylo Podolyak for LIGA.net:

"Many media outlets are spreading a new fiction that Kyiv is allegedly surrounded by Russian troops. Russians can only dream about this. Kyiv is fully controlled by Ukrainian troops, drives into Kyiv are possible. Yes, in some suburbs there is still confrontation, there have been heavy battles. But we will not give up the capital. This is our capital. This is our country. The Russian military has no place here. They should leave our country and take with them thousands of corpses of their soldiers, most of them just rotting in the fields. We can't even count and collect them because fighting continues in many places. With No fake can Russians cover up this reality".

Text version of Zelenskyy's address:

I wish health to the Ukrainian heroes! The fifth day of Russia's full-scale war against the people of Ukraine. We are standing strong. We have endured during this time as much as other nations may not endure in decades. We have been told for a long time that Ukrainians are not like that in some way. They are not right. We had to do our "homework" for decades. Because of that we often did not notice what we were really capable of, but now we have proven ourselves in full force. And this is inspiring

In every conversation with our partners, I hear genuine respect. Ukrainians have shown the world who we are. And Russia has shown what Russia has become. Just think about it: during the Russian invasion - in just four days - Russian shelling killed 16 Ukrainian children. 16! 45 children wounded..

Every crime, every shelling the occupiers commit against us, unites us and our partners even more. Russia did not believe in such a solid and powerful response. But the Ukrainians have changed that story. The EU has decided to supply us with arms. We are grateful. Yesterday I spoke to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, about further - even stronger - steps. Europeans are aware that our soldiers are fighting for our State, and therefore for the whole of Europe. For peace for all European countries, for the lives of children, for equality, for democracy. And this gives us every right to do the following..

We appeal to the European Union for Ukraine's immediate accession under the new special procedure. We are grateful to our partners for being with us. But our goal is to be together with all Europeans and most importantly to be on equal footing. I am sure that it is fair. I am sure it is possible..

Yesterday I spoke to Presidents of Portugal, Lithuania, France and Poland. I am especially thankful to Andrzej Duda. I have spoken to the Prime Ministers of Belgium, Spain and the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. The support for our anti-war coalition is unconditional and unprecedented.

Europe has closed the skies to all Russian aircraft. Global business is refusing any links with Russian companies. Let's see how this week ends for the Russian currency - what will be the fall of the rouble. While this criminal invasion of Ukraine continues, the Russian state suffers such losses as if the war had passed through their territory. Why all this for you? Russian mothers, Russian teachers, Russian businessmen and everyone else. Why?.

4,500 Russian soldiers have already been killed. Why did they come here? Why are columns of your armored vehicles coming against us from Crimea? Yalta, Yevpatoriia, Sudak, Simferopol... These are not names of military camps for tankers. Once again: 4,500 Russian invaders were killed. Leave your equipment. Get out of here. Don't believe your commanders. Don't believe your propagandists. Just save your lives..

Every hour we dedicate to strengthening our state. Everyone who can take part in the fight against the invaders must do so. Therefore, a decision has been taken that was not easy morally, but useful in terms of our defense. Under martial law, Ukrainians  with real combat experience will be released from detention and will be able to make up for their guilt in the hottest spots of the war. Also all sanctions have been lifted against some participants of ATO. Defense is the priority now..

When I was running for president, I said that each of us was president. Because we are all responsible for our state. For our beautiful Ukraine. And now it turns out that each of us is a warrior. A warrior in their place. And I am sure that each of us will win. Glory to Ukraine!".

They advise first of all to set up patrols to watch the movements of the columns.

Once you know the direction of movement, block the road in some way.

"Blow up a bridge or block the traffic with trucks. When the convoy stops, pelt it with Molotov cocktails and cover it with small arms fire," the defence wrote.

It is important to video-record prisoners who have been captured in battle. After all, this demoralises the occupiers: "Or make live broadcasts on social networks - this will encourage your fellow soldiers".

Women and teenagers can post posters along the convoy: "You will only die here" and similar threatening content.

4 days of victory, courage, dedication, and faith.

Fury against the enemy who kills our women and children, destroys peaceful cities.

And the certainty that they will be punished! Definitely punished! Heavily, inevitably.

Yesterday was a breaking point. The war became a European one. It was finally realized as such.

Already now, half of Europe is collecting, packing, and delivering weapons and armor protection equipment to us. The range of states providing real assistance has increased significantly. Its scale has increased.

Europe has already provided temporary shelter to tens of thousands of those we want to save most of all—our babies and their mothers. Without any formalities. As their own.

Right now, we have no border in the west. But there is support both in the south and in the Far East and across the Atlantic.

All this is the merit of our defenders, both men and women, of the entire Ukrainian people. Who refused to obey the enraged tyrant. And who will definitely win.

Ukraine will win!

3:40 The Center for Counteracting Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council gives the main theses from the speech of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the end of the "special relationship between Germany and Russia", which is already being called historical.

Main points of Mr. Scholz’s speech:

- On February 24, there was a change of epochs in the history of Europe. Terrible footages from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Mariupol show the real scale of Putin’s inhumanity. The unheard of injustice, the pain of Ukrainian men and women - all this is heartbreaking.

- Putin wants to recreate the Russian Empire and run Europe as he considers appropriate. The people of Russia do not want war. This war will remain Putin's war.

- In Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa and Mariupol, people are not just defending their homeland, they are fighting for freedom and democracy - the values that Germany shares with Ukrainians.

- Germany will not allow the conflict between Putin and the free world to open old wounds.

- Putin's war means a decisive change in Germany's foreign policy as well. Yes, it stays committed to the principle of "as much diplomacy as possible, but without naivety." However, this change provides us with a new challenge: "no more talking for the sake of talking."

The center notes that Russian propaganda resources attributed to Scholz the words that "Putin has freed Germany from historical guilt" and started a real hysteria around this. The chancellor didn't actually say that. Kremlin propaganda acts in its usual style.
