The Czech volunteer initiative Darek pro Putina ("A Gift for Putin") has launched a fundraiser for the Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missile. This is stated on the initiative's website.

Volunteers asked the missile manufacturer, Fire Point, to raise funds for one of the missiles and name it "Dana 1" in honor of the deceased Czech nuclear scientist, head of the Czech State Nuclear Safety Authority, Dana Drabova.

"After payment, the missile will be handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They will decide when to use it and determine its target. Perhaps we will soon find out where it flew to," the volunteers wrote .

As of Wednesday, October 22, more than 700 people have donated to the rocket for Ukraine, donating more than 1 million Czech crowns (about $48,000) of the $600,000 needed.

The missile is resistant to weapons that affect electronics and uses special GPS systems with jamming resistance. Serial production began in the summer of 2025 .
