More than four dozen current MPs have received suspicions from anti-corruption authorities. This was discussed in an interview with Ukrinform said the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Oleksandr Klymenko.

"In total, 41 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation have received suspicions from the SAPO," Klymenko said.

He added that in the 10 years since the start of the anti-corruption bodies' work, 79 former and current MPs have been suspected.

As of January 2026, the Verkhovna Rada has fewer than 400 MPs out of 450.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) was established on April 16, 2015, and the SAPO as an independent unit within the Prosecutor General's Office was established on September 22, 2015. Both agencies were established after the Revolution of Dignity to fight grand corruption.
