Israel attacked six airports in Iran, destroying 15 fighter jets and attack helicopters. This was reported by Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The strikes in the west, east, and center of the country were carried out as part of the expansion of air superiority over Iranian skies. At the airports, runways and underground hangars were attacked, as well as refueling aircraft and F-14, F-5 and AH-1 aircraft.
"The destroyed aircraft were intended to be used against Israeli air force aircraft to prevent strikes on Iranian territory. The Israeli Air Force has limited the ability to take off from these airports, as well as the ability of the Iranian military to control its forces from them," the IDF said in a statement .
