Russia dispels fake about women's mobilization and lowering the age of mobilization to 18
Russian propagandists are spreading disinformation about the alleged preparations for the mandatory mobilization of women in Ukraine and the lowering of the age of mobilization. This was reported by Center for Countering Disinformation.
Propaganda resources cite "anonymous sources" and claim that it is planned to "mobilize up to a million women" in Ukraine from September 1. And the mobilization age is allegedly planned to be lowered to 18 years old.
However, there are no plans to mobilize women in Ukraine.
"There are no bills under consideration by the Verkhovna Rada that would provide for such changes. There are also no government decisions or statements by Ukrainian officials on mass mobilization of women," the LCC emphasized .
The Center also noted that the enemy recently claimed as part of the same information operation that the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna had proposed to ban women aged 18-27 from traveling abroad. and the Verkhovna Rada allegedly supported this initiative.
The CPA explained that the purpose of these false news items is to sow panic among Ukrainians and destabilize the situation in the rear.
- Russia is conducting an active disinformation campaign against Ukraine using a variety of methods.
- In particular,, forges official documents, shoots staged videos and writes fake news .
