A high-ranking interlocutor LIGA.net at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the loss of the Russians' ability to use Starlink satellite communications.

He said that Starlinks had stopped working for the occupiers on the front line. This happened after the introduction of rules for registering such terminals in Ukraine.

Earlier, on the morning of February 5, an advisor to the minister of Defense and a specialist and consultant in the field of military radio technology, Serhiy (Flash) Beskrestnov wrote that "the enemy doesn't even have a problem on the fronts, the enemy has a catastrophe."

According to the expert, due to the blocking of Starlink, the occupiers "lost all control of the troops," and assault operations were stopped in many areas.

"As for our troops, we found out that there were problems with those who did not promptly submit their lists to private Starlinks. The processing process is ongoing," added the defense minister's advisor.

The invaders' resources also report problems with these terminals. Russia used these terminals illegally.

The decision to register "starlinks" in Ukraine was made after the occupiers used these devices in their drones.

  • On February 5, minister of defense Fedorov announced that the Starlink verification process is underway: the first stage of terminals included in the "white list" are already working.
