"My reasons". Zelensky denies firing Yermak because of NABU searches

Dismissal Andriy Yermak from the post of head of the Presidential Office is not related to the searches conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau in the fall. This was stated in an interview with The Atlantic said the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The media writes that for years Zelensky has resisted pressure from the United States and many of his closest allies in Ukraine to release Yermak.
The journalists noted that the former head of the OP had clashed with a number of Western diplomats and many people from Zelensky's entourage.
It was only last fall, on the day of Yermak's search as part of a corruption investigation, that the President agreed to fire him. However, Zelenskyy denied that the corruption investigation had forced him to make this decision.
"I had my reasons," the president said, interrupting the question.
- On the morning of November 28, 2025, NABU and SAPO conducted searches of Yermak's houseboth in the government quarter and at his home. The head of the OP himself stated that he was "fully cooperating" with the investigation.
- On the same day, President dismissed Yermak from the position of the head of the OP.
