President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. Among other things, the participants analyzed the prospects of increasing Ukraine's own production of missiles and ammunition, reported the press service of the President's Office.

The participants heard reports about the operational situation on the front line. The commanders of the operational-strategic groups of the Ukrainian military units reported on the course of hostilities in their sectors of the front.

Intelligence informed about probable actions of the enemy in the near future.

"Members of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff considered the issue of providing the defense forces of Ukraine with weapons and ammunition, including Ukrainian-produced. The participants of the meeting analyzed the state of execution of contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers and the prospects of increasing their own production of all types of missiles and ammunition," the message says.

In addition, the consideration of the issue of staffing and equipment of the newly created brigades continued.

On March 20, the European Union agreed on a plan to purchase ammunition for Ukraine for 2 billion euros.

On April 12, the Polish news agency PAP, citing a high-ranking source in the EU, reported that France was blocking the unanimous decision of the European Union to finance the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.
