After the death of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, his successor's policy toward Ukraine will remain unchanged. However, there is still a chance for a collapse. This opinion was expressed in a commentary by LIGA.net said Valeriy Pekar, a lecturer at Kyiv Mohyla Business School.

"When Putin dies, Putin 2.0 will take his place. Russia's policy is shaped by objective factors: if the empire does not take over Ukraine now, it will collapse or be swallowed by China," he emphasized.

Therefore, according to Pekar, the new dictator's policy will be the same as the previous one. "But the new one will need some time to consolidate power, during which time the probability of collapse is greater," he said.
