The Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine voiced the ratio of losses of Russian and Ukrainian troops killed

For every six Russian occupants killed, an average of one Ukrainian soldier is killed. This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in an interview with Channel 24 .
The journalist asked Syrsky whether it is possible to talk about a stable ratio of losses - some commanders claim a sixfold difference, meaning that the Russians lose about six times as many soldiers as the Ukrainians.
"It is true. This is the difference in the number of people killed. This is the total figure for all the armed forces," confirmed the head of the Armed Forces.
Commenting on Russia's losses, he also reminded that the enemy planned to form 14 new divisions in 2025, but only seven were formed: two marine divisions consist of only one regiment. The formation of the other seven brigades was postponed until next year.
"The reason is that they were forced to take the personnel of these divisions and recruit them into combat units. This is a confirmation that they really have problems with recruiting people," he said .
Syrsky emphasized that this is due to the effectiveness of Ukrainian troops, as the latest figures show that daily losses average 1000-1100 people.
He also noted that in the first months of 2025, there was a monthly increase in the number of Russian troops by about 7,000-9,000. However, in the last six months, the size of the Russian grouping has been fluctuating at the level of 710,000 - 711,000.
"This indicates that even the implementation of all their (mobilization - Ed.) plans does not allow them to increase the number of troops," added the Armed Forces chief .
- As of early December, NATO estimates that Russian casualties in the war against Ukraine remain high and growing for the third month in a row.
