The pilot project of the First Separate Medical Battalion is gaining momentum. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi heard a report on the progress of the tasks and told about the battalion's areas of work.

According to him, the newly created battalion is able to fully ensure the evacuation of the wounded and provide assistance in a certain area of the frontline.

"The key task of the unit is to save as many lives of our military, in particular infantry, in the battalion's area of responsibility as possible," said the chief.

He discussed the results achieved and the possibility of scaling up the unit's effective experience with the Commander of the Medical Forces, the Chief of the Medical Service of the Land Forces and the Commander of the Medical Battalion.

According to Syrsky, this battalion has united key areas:

→ medical evacuation, in particular with the use of ground-based unmanned systems;

→ emergency care (operation of stabilization centers and advanced surgical teams);

→ training and preparation of soldiers directly in the combat zone.

The battalion has conducted a successful recruitment campaign since its inception, the commander noted. Almost all of the personnel are professional volunteer doctors.

"Now the recruits are undergoing a mandatory course of basic general military training, and the battalion is at the stage of coordination and preparation for combat missions... The battalion has formed a separate company of unmanned systems for the unmanned evacuation of wounded soldiers using ground platforms," said Syrsky .

He noted that the command is doing everything possible to ensure that doctors and medics are provided with everything they need to work in the combat zone.

  • on June 22, the commander-in-chief commented on the scandals with the TCC across the country. He said that almost half a thousand officers and soldiers are already in other positions in the army.
  • As for the transition of the Armed Forces to the corps system, , according to Syrsky, this will make it possible to conduct offensives and counteroffensives, as well as increase enemy losses and reduce their own.
