Ukraine has officially joined the NATO-accredited Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE). The Ukrainian flag was raised near the headquarters of the center in Tallinn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports on Twitter.

"Today the National Flag of Ukraine is officially raised at the Headquarters of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence in Tallinn, marking official accession of Ukraine to the CCDCOE," the message reads.

The ministry thanked the sponsoring states of the center for inviting Ukraine, as well as the government of Estonia for "support and assistance on the way to NATO CCDCOE."

CCDCOE (NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Center of Excellence) is a NATO-accredited cyber defense center headquartered in Tallinn, which supports the member states of the Alliance and the entire bloc in this area. Founded in 2008 at the initiative of Estonia after hacker attacks from Russia. Membership is open to all NATO states. Also, the structure can establish relations with non-Alliance countries, universities, research institutes, and enterprises as donor participants. The center is accredited by the Alliance and is not part of its structure.

On February 4, 2022, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council stated that "one of the European countries" blocked Ukraine's participation in the work of the joint cyber defense center under NATO. LIGA.net's sources reported that Hungary was in question.

On May 10, the United States announced that it had neutralized the FSB espionage program that had been helping to steal NATO data for 20 years.
