Late on December 19, Russia launched a missile strike on Kryvyi Rih, hitting a two-story residential building, as confirmed by Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, and Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Dnipro's defense council.

At 11:06 p.m. Kyiv time, Vilkul reported a missile attack on the city. The Air Force had earlier warned of a ballistic threat from the southeast, later identifying a fast-moving target heading toward Kryvyi Rih.

By 11:48 p.m., reports confirmed that Russian forces had struck a residential building again. A teenage girl and a man were pulled from the rubble of the destroyed two-story structure. Windows were also shattered in a nearby 10-story building.

  • The previous evening, on December 18, Russia also targeted Kryvyi Rih, damaging infrastructure, two nine-story buildings, a hospital, a school, a store, and ten cars.
