President of the United States Donald Trump said that Russia will face consequences if, after the meeting in Alaska, the dictator Vladimir Putin will not agree to stop the war. This was stated by the US president when communicating with journalists.
"There will be very severe consequences," said the US leader.
At the same time, he refused to answer the journalist whether these would be new sanctions or duties against Russia: "I don't have to say that."
- Earlier, US Treasury secretary Bessent said that during his meeting with dictator Putin, Trump plans to use the issue of sanctions against Russia as an element of pressure.
- At the same conference, Trump said that in case of a successful meeting with Putin in Alaska, the next summit would be with the participation of president Zelenskyy.
