India closes airspace for Pakistani airlines
The restriction will be in effect from April 30 to May 23
On Wednesday, April 30, India announced the closure of its airspace to all Pakistani-registered airlines and military aircraft amid escalating tensions between the two countries following the attack in Kashmir that killed 26 people. This was reported by India TV .
The restriction will be in effect from April 30 to May 23, 2025, during which time no Pakistani aircraft will be allowed to enter Indian airspace.
The move comes six days after Pakistan closed its airspace to all flights owned and operated by Indian carriers, prompting India to respond.
Earlier, Pakistan announced a temporary no-fly zone over Islamabad and Lahore until May 2, fearing a possible Indian air strike.
