Once again, the Russian Federation views relatives of captured Ukrainians as a resource for manipulation. The Coordination Center reminded that the Ministry of Defense, in cooperation with SpaceX engineers, managed to disable illegal Starlink terminals. With their help, the Russian army organized communication for military units and UAVs.

"Looking for a way out of their predicament, the occupiers turned their attention to the families of the prisoners. There have been cases of threats and demands to officially register Starlink terminals. This equipment is then to be used against Ukraine and Ukrainians," the statement said.

The Coordination Center emphasized that the official registration of the terminal makes it easy to identify the person who did it, as the person must prove his or her identity.

If a Starlink registered by a Ukrainian is used to control drones that destroy infrastructure and kill people, this is grounds for criminal prosecution.

If you receive offers or threats demanding to register terminals for yourself, you should contact the Coordination Center and law enforcement agencies.
