FPV drones rescue four defenders from captivity near Pokrovsk – video

Ukrainian drone operators helped free four Ukrainian soldiers who were captured by Russia near Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. About reported the Seventh Rapid Reaction Corps of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and released a video.
Four Ukrainian defenders were captured by a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group while storming an observation post. However, the enemy group was later discovered by aerial reconnaissance patrolling the area.
Attack drones of the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade, the Seventh Airborne Corps, the 68th Separate Oleksa Dovbush Ranger Brigade, and other related units flew to help.
The approaching swarm of FPV drones disoriented the occupiers and diverted their attention. The Ukrainian military took advantage of this and managed to escape from enemy captivity.
At the same time, the Russians tried to hide in the bushes and trenches, but within a few minutes more than 10 UAVs were fired on the group. The enemy subversive reconnaissance group was destroyed.
- On January 19, 2026, the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrskyi, reported that in the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration area, the occupiers do not give up trying break through the defenders' defenses both by large assaults and by advancing in small groups.
- On the same day, the Armed Forces reported that Pskov paratroopers suffered significant losses in the fighting in the Pokrovsk sector.
