Russia strikes a high-rise building in Odesa with a drone: a family is killed, children are injured – video

On the night of June 28, Russia struck a 21-story residential building in Odesa. The attack killed a family, and there are children among the wounded. This was reported to by Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov.

The explosions in the city occurred late in the evening on June 27, as the danger of using drones was announced. A 21-storey building in one of the city's districts came under enemy attack, reported in the State Emergency Service.

The hit caused a fire on the seventh through ninth floors. People were trapped in their apartments. Five people were rescued, including a small child .

The situation with firefighting and rescue was complicated by repeated air raids, the SES noted.

At least two people are known to have died. According to Trukhanov, rescuers found the bodies of a couple killed by an enemy drone in their apartment.

The head of the regional military administration, Oleh Kiper, , told, that as of 03:30, six victims were known: two children and four adults, all in hospitals. A seven-year-old boy is in moderate condition, and a three-year-old was poisoned by combustion products. All adults are in moderate condition.

UPDATE at 09:00. The National Police reported to, that the number of victims has increased to nine. Residential buildings, where apartments caught fire, an administrative building and other civilian infrastructure, and vehicles were damaged. All the fires were extinguished by the SES .

According to the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, as of 09:30, 14 people were injured, including three children. Six wounded remain in hospitals, two adults and a child in serious condition.
