The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi is convinced that the number of Ukrainian troops proposed by the peace plan, up to 800,000, will be enough to ensure the country's effective defense capability, as there are no restrictions on mobilization. He said this in an interview with Channel 24 .

" This figure does guarantee us a response to armed aggression in the event of its resumption. This figure also guarantees us a planned mobilization process. That is, we are not limited in mobilization. All our mobilization indicators and capabilities are preserved," he said .

The Chief of the Armed Forces also confirmed that initially Ukraine was offered to reduce the number of soldiers to 600,000 .

"But the figure of 800,000 satisfies us," he added .
