Trump announces important announcement on Russia and says NATO will pay for aid to Kyiv

U.S. President Donald Trump said he has signed an agreement with NATO to supply American weapons to Ukraine through the alliance. He said this in a telephone interview with NBC on July 10.
According to Trump, NATO will pay "100%" of the cost of the weapons provided. This agreement was reached at the NATO summit last month.
"We supply weapons to NATO, and NATO pays for these weapons one hundred percent. We will send Patriot systems to NATO, and NATO will distribute them," he said .
Trump also announced that he will make an "important announcement" on Monday regarding Russia, but did not go into details.
"I am disappointed in Russia, but we will see what happens in the next couple of weeks. There will be an important statement on Russia on Monday," he said .
On the evening of July 10, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte spoke with Trump and said he had begun working closely with Allies to provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance.
- Zelenskiy said that Ukraine plans to buy weapons from allies, , including Patriot systems. They may be financed by Germany, Norway and a number of other countries.
- US Secretary of State Rubio said that the US plans to convince NATO allies to give Ukraine Patriot systems. Some countries have the systems, but they don't want to give them to Ukraine.
- According to Reuters, Trump may use presidential powers for the first time to provide military aid to Ukraine worth about $300 million. Among other things, it may include missiles for the Patriot.
