Ukraine and the United States will jointly produce drones. Including interceptors

Ukraine and the United States intend to sign an agreement on joint drone production. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a visit to Denmark.

According to him, it is a co-production.

"There will be several companies. They focus primarily on different types of drones, but the most important thing is this year and next year. This year – hundreds of thousands. And next year, there will be an increase," the president said .

According to Zelenskyy, the main component is interceptor drones, which have already proven themselves. Thanks to them, Ukraine expects to shoot down Russian "shaheds" in large numbers.

"This is a good start in this direction. We have also agreed with our colleagues that some of our production facilities will have access to the relevant technologies. This can speed up the possibility of increasing production," emphasized the president .

• In June, Armed Forces chief Syrsky reported that the effectiveness of Shaheda interceptor drones was 70% – almost twice as high as that of mobile fire groups. At the same time, the latter have not yet lost their relevance, and the interceptors lack radar, noted military commander.
• Defense Minister Umerov reported that Ukraine has the capacity to produce 4 million drones a year. Later, the Defense Ministry said that it is possible to produce 10 million drones a year.
• The President said that Ukraine is scaling up its potential in the production of drones, including interceptors. Several orders have already been given.
