Ukrainian Armed Forces deny claim of 16 ballistic missiles striking Kyiv's CHP plant: two hits in the region

The Air Force denied the words of Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Energy Research Center, about the alleged hit of 16 missiles on Kyiv's thermal power plants on January 13. Head of the Communications Department of the Air Force Command Yuriy Ihnat on Channel 5 said that two missiles were shot down over the capital, and two more were spotted in the region.
Ignat reminded that during the of the January 13 attacks by the Russians used 18 ballistic missiles against Ukraine, cruise missiles and more than 200 drones, and the geography of the strike was wide.
Ballistic missiles were fired at Kyiv, Dnipropetrovs'k, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. Critical infrastructure facilities in eastern Ukraine suffered the most damage.
"There were no 16 ballistic missiles in Kyiv. Perhaps a person made a mistake. That day, two ballistic missiles were destroyed over the capital, and two more missiles were recorded in the region," said the representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Before that, on the air of Suspilne Kharchenko reportedthe Ukrainian government said that it was after 16 missiles allegedly hit the capital's thermal power plants that problems with electricity supply began in Kyiv, as the thermal power plants were a "very significant source" of electricity for the capital and covered half of the needs.
