In Poland, a Ukrainian citizen became the victim of a group beating and ethnic insults. About this reported ambassador of Ukraine to Warsaw, Vasyl Bodnar.

The diplomat said that violence against Ukrainian citizens abroad, in particular, committed for reasons of national hatred, is unacceptable and requires a principled response.

According to Bodnar, in the city of Radom, a Ukrainian became the victim of a group attack after a domestic incident that was resolved without police involvement.

Despite this, he was physically assaulted, and during the attack, offensive statements related to his nationality were made.

The Ambassador clarified that the man was seriously injured and is currently in hospital.

He expects that the circumstances of this incident will be comprehensively investigated, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice in accordance with the law, taking into account all circumstances, including the possible motive of national hatred.

Bodnar added that Ukraine's consular service is in constant contact with Polish law enforcement and receives the necessary information. Facts of violence against Ukrainian citizens abroad require a proper and consistent response, he said.
