In the USA, 18 people died during a winter storm – photos

A winter storm that brought heavy snowfall across the United States left hundreds of thousands of consumers without power and killed 18 people. This was reported by ABC News.
In Frisco, Texas, a 16-year-old girl died in a sledding accident. The deceased and another girl were sledding, pulled by a teenager who was driving a car. The girl died when the sled hit a curb and then crashed into a tree.
In the Austin area, the body of a man was found in the parking lot of an abandoned gas station, likely dead from hypothermia. In Arkansas, a 17-year-old boy died after being dragged by an ATV through the snow and crashing into a tree.
In Pennsylvania, three people aged 60 to 84 were reported dead, and five people died in New York. In Massachusetts, a woman died after a snowplow hit her in a parking lot.
Three deaths were reported in Tennessee, two in Louisiana, and one in Kansas.
According to media reports, as of Monday, January 26, more than 800,000 customers were without power. Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas were the most affected.
Due to the weather, 3,000 flights were canceled in the United States that day, and another 11,000 were canceled on Sunday, including those from Washington.
