Trump believes Putin kept his word on the energy truce: 'pause' was until Sunday

U.S. President Donald Trump believes that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin "kept his word" by promising not to temporarily strike Ukraine's energy sector. He said this, speaking to journalists at the White House.
Trump was reminded that just before the new massive Russian attack, during which the aggressor state used a record number of ballistic missiles, he said that Putin had "agreed to a pause".
In response, Trump said that the "pause" was "from Sunday to Sunday" (from January 25 to February 1 – Ed.). After that, Putin "hit back hard".
"No, he agreed, he kept his word. It's a lot – one week... It's very, very cold there. But it was on Sunday," he emphasized .
Asked if he was disappointed that Putin did not go further in this "pause," Trump said he wished he had, and that he would end this war.
- on January 29, Trump reported that asked Putin to stop shelling Ukraine's energy sector for a week due to cold weather – and he allegedly agreed.
- Later, Putin's spokesman Peskov confirmed, that the Russian dictator allegedly agreed to an energy truce – until February 1.
- On the night of February 3, Russia launched a new massive attack, launching drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles at Ukraine. Under attack were thermal power plants, which worked exclusively for heating.
- Zelensky believes that the Russians violated the energy truce – "or they have four days in the week".
