Trump said he agreed with Putin not to attack Kyiv and other cities for a week

President of the US Donald Trump said he had allegedly reached an agreement with the dictator Vladimir Putin on the temporary cessation of shelling of Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities due to the growing frost. This was stated by the politician during a meeting of the American government.
"I personally asked president Putin not to shell Kyiv and other cities and towns for a week during this... [In Ukraine is] extraordinary cold, record-setting cold," Trump said.
According to him, Putin agreed to do so.
"And I have to tell you, it was very nice. Many people said: don't waste the call, you won't get it. And he [the Russian dictator] did. And we were very happy that they [the Russians] did it," the American leader added.
On January 29, rumors began to spread in the Russian segment of Telegram about the alleged energy truce between the aggressor country and Ukraine.
The day before, on January 28, president Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the occupiers are preparing a new strike on Ukraine.
UPDATED. Zelenskyy thanked Trump after he said he had reached an agreement with Putin, but noted that the real situation would show whether it would be implemented.
