It will be difficult for Ukraine to use Tomahawk missiles if the United States approves their delivery. This was stated to The Guardian by Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi.

He confirmed that Presidents Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy had discussed the possibility of supplying Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles from the United States in a telephone conversation. But no agreement was reached.

"They are not easy to use. The main launchers are warships or strategic bombers. We don't have strategic bombers," Skibitsky said .

At the same time, it is extremely important that Ukraine has the ability to launch "kinetic" strikes deep into Russia against important military targets. Negotiations are currently underway to lift restrictions on ATACMS missiles imposed by the previous presidential administration Joe Biden. They have a range of 300 km.

"It is very important for us to get US approval to use long-range missiles. We want to destroy and disrupt in accordance with NATO procedures," Skibitsky said .
