SBU shows new generation of maritime drones: they hit Crimean bridge in summer – photos

The Security Service of Ukraine has demonstrated a new generation of Sea Baby unmanned maritime drones. They have already been tested in successful missions in the Black Sea, reported in the Service.
In particular, a new generation of drones was used during the third attack on the Crimean Bridge on June 3, 2025. According to SBU Brigadier General Ivan Lukashevych "Hunter", the "sea babies" delivered explosives to the right place, which blew up the supports of the illegal structure.
The new modifications of the marine drones were built with funds raised by Ukrainians on the UNITED24 fundraising platform. They can cover a distance of over 1500 km, carry up to 2000 kg of cargo, have reinforced engines and a modern navigation system.
The SBU showed two drones with different weapons. The first one is equipped with a gyro-stabilized machine gun, which has an auto-capture and target recognition system. The second one carries heavy weapons: grad 10-round multiple launch rocket system.
"The SBU is the ideologist of a new type of naval warfare. We are constantly looking for effective means to maintain Ukraine's advantage in the Black Sea for as long as possible. The President's task is to neutralize the powerful Russian Black Sea Fleet. We are actively working on this," Hunter emphasized .
In addition, the SBU noted that they are constantly developing other samples of the latest weapons and have already successfully used them in the Black Sea. But details about them cannot be disclosed at this time.
"Our drones have changed the balance of power in the Black Sea and proved their effectiveness. The new generation of Sea Baby is even more effective. Therefore, the work to clear the Black Sea of the Russian fleet will continue. The enemy will feel the full power of our technological developments," said the SBU Head Vasyl Malyuk .
