Trump shares NY Post story questioning "attack" on Putin's residence

President of the United States Donald Trump published on the social network Truth Social posted an editorial by The New York Post with the headline "Putin's empty claims of 'attack' show that it is Russia that is preventing peace". In the article put questioning the statement of the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin about the alleged drone attack and states that it is Russia that is standing in the way of peace.
The article says that after meetings president Volodymyr Zelenskyy with Trump at Mar-a-Lago, the mood was "cautiously optimistic." Zelenskyy, according to the editorial, compromised on a number of points of the peace plan, and Trump said that the end of the war was "closer than ever before."
The article emphasizes that Putin then claimed an alleged attack on his residence. The dictator used this statement as an excuse to take a tougher stance in the negotiations. At the same time, the Russian side did not provide any confirmation of the shelling.
The New York Post notes that there was probably no drone attack. It is also argued that the Russian statement could have been fictitious or exaggerated.
