Ukraine and the United States continue daily communication, despite Russian claims that talks have been disrupted after an alleged attack on the Russian dictator's residence, Vladimir Putin. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyytalking to journalists in the OP chat.

"First of all, I want to tell you that despite certain accusations by the Russians about the disruption of our negotiations with the Americans, we work every day," Zelenskyy said.

He clarified that there had already been several calls on Tuesday, December 30. In particular, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov spoke with the US special envoy Steve Witkoff.

"We are discussing our next steps," the president said.

Zelenskyy also reiterated that the Russians' statements about the alleged attack on Putin's residence were fake. In his opinion, the spread of this fake is due to the fact that the teams of Ukraine and the United States had been working productively for a month, culminating in a meeting with the President of the United States Donald Trump in Florida.

"I see that there is a positive outcome from the meetings, a positive outcome from the preparation of documents. There is Russia, which does not want any positive for anyone," the President emphasized.

  • On December 29, Lavrov said that Ukrainian drones allegedly tried to attack Putin's residence in Novgorod Oblast. Zelenskyy called his statement and explained why Russia spread this fake.
  • On the same day, Trump said that Putin told him about the alleged attack on his residence. The US President said that "this is not good".
  • The FIS stated that Russia conducts an information operation to disrupt the agreements reached between Zelenskyy and Trump.
