Zelenskyy changes the composition of the NSDC: Shmyhal and Fedorov enter, Malyuk leaves

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy amended the composition of the National Security and Defense Council. The relevant decree appeared on the leader's website.

The first deputy prime minister and minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal and the head of the defense ministry Mykhailo Fedorov joined the NSDC.

At the same time, Zelenskyy removed the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, lieutenant general Vasyl Malyuk.

The decree comes into force on January 26, the day of its publication.

Earlier, on January 23, the president removed Malyuk from the supreme commander-in-chief's Headquarters.

Lieutenant general resigned on January 5, he was replaced by the head of the SSU's Alpha Special Operations Center Yevhen Khmara. At the same time, Zelenskyy announced that Malyuk would continue to engage in asymmetric operations against Russia.

On January 19, the president, after the report of the former head of the SSU, reported that Ukraine continues to prepare such operations.
